for you in business next hour. here's a check on markets. ♪ ♪ ♪ >>> the people at boeing trumpeted their 787 dreamliner saying travelers would fly into the future. but some are having trouble flying at all. a japan airlines plane on a runway in boston started leaking fuel just a day after a mishap involving another dreamliner. airport officials say about 150 liters of fuel spilled out before the plane was scheduled to take off. technicians checked things out, then determined everything was safe. the plane took off for tokyo about 3 1/2 hours behind schedule. the day before a battery pack in a different japan airlines boeing 787 sparked an electrical fire. the plane was on the tarmac, and no one was on board. the 787 is boeing's latest model and made its commercial debut in 2011. people at boeing say they sold about 50 of the planes to eight airlines. >>> the indian military says two soldiers have been killed and one injured in a gunfight in the disputed territory of kashmir between india and pakistan. an indian army spokesperson says the shooting started when indian soldiers on pat
they are ordering a comprehensive review you whatever that means of boeing's new line of 787 dreamliners in the wake of technical problems. on tuesday, a japan airlines dreamliner spilled about 40-gallons of crew moments before it was set it to take off. they call it a maintenance issue. that was the day after a fire broke out in the belly of a different airliner at logan filling that cab bin with smoke. dan springer is in the pacific northwest home of boeing. a review like this isn't so rare, is it? >> actually it is, shep. an aviation analyst we spoke with here in seattle says it is very unusual and hasn't happened since 1979. as for passenger safety we will have to see what the final report says. meantime the planes will continue to fly. the fire monday in boston triggered the action. a lithium battery which powers the plane when the engines are off overheated. there was a lot of smoke and eventually fire and this follows three electrical problems in december that either grounded planes or diverted flights. the comprehensive review will focus in on the dreamliner entire electrical system. >> this

the cabin of a boeing 787 at a boston airport. it was preparing for its next flight no. one was injured. a mechanic spotted smoke rising from the back of the aircraft at logan international airport. the plane had flown in from japan. all 172 passengers and 11 crew members had disembarked. firefighters found flames coming from a battery pack under the passenger's compartment and put out the fire. the battery starts the auxiliary power unit. it supplies electricity while the aircraft is parked. investigators from the ntsb are looking into the case. the 787 is boeing's newest aircraft. japan airlines began flying it on some routes late last month. japan's transport minister has ordered emergency inspections on the batteries of all 787s in their fleets. >>> the world's leading electronics makers are unveiling latest ultrahigh definition tv" las vegas. they are taking part in the largest electronics show that will kick off on tuesday. japanese companies are introducing the tvs in a bid to win market share back from south korean rivals. it has four times as many pixels as standard hdtvs. sony

reflected in shares of boeing which has ticked lower since these reports came out. there was a fire this morning on a 787 dreamliner parked at logan airport in boston. it is our understanding according to information we're getting out of boston that the fire has been put out. there were no passengers, no crew on the plane. what's unclear is what started this fire, whether it was something electrical, the plane, if there was something else. we've got a call into boeing to get more details. all we heard from boeing is they're going to be looking into these reports. so they're getting this information as quickly as we're getting this information. but the important thing to keep in mind here, carl, is that this is the fourth incident regarding a dreamliner. remember, we had the two reports from united of dream liners losing some power, some degree of power while in flight and then also a similar report regarding the first flight going over the qatar airways over doha. so now we have a report out of boston of a fire at logan airport on a 787 dreamliner, parked at a gate, no passengers, n
